Ganelle planned to be a high-school drama teacher before diving into a ten-year career in fundraising and development. Training each officer in the Little Rock Police Department on implicit bias ignited Ganelle's commitment to equity through measurable outcomes. Ganelle started The Giovanna Group in 2016 while she was pregnant with her daughter, Bronx Giovanna Blake. She holds a B.A. in theatre and M.Ed in secondary education from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. She is also a candidate for concurrent master's in public service from the Clinton School and juris doctorate from the William H. Bowen School of Law.
